Formally known as The Black Achievers Program. This program is funded in part by United Way. Youth participate in an array of life skills development programs offered by Hunton YMCA and other community groups through community partnerships. All programs listed below are free of charge.

Annual Easter Hunt
A sleep over activity created to give parents some alone time with the children in a safe environment.
Academic (Tutorial) Assistance
Arts & Craft activities, Dance classes in partnership with K&K Protege Theater.
Monthly training offered in partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension program.
Provided by volunteer college interns. Available throughout the year to secondary and post-secondary youth.
A conference type activity developed for high school juniors and seniors. PACE provides information concerning college and university enrollment.
Workshops held quarterly to teach youth the basics of fishing and water safety. Fishing trips are held during the fishing season.
Job readiness training workshops held twice a year, targets low-income youth. Offered in partnership with NRHA.
Celebration events are held the Friday after the kids receive both Progress Reports and Report Cards.
Held for TWP youth ages 9 and under. One hundred prize ticket for a prize bag.
